President
Prof. Marina Orlandi Biagi is the President of the Marco Biagi Foundation.
The President, appointed by the University, either the widow of Prof. Biagi or one of his direct descendants, is the legal representative of the Foundation in relations with third parties and in legal proceedings. The President convenes and presides over the Board of Directors, which is responsible for implementing the resolutions of the Foundation, and, together with the Director-General, deals with relations with institutions, public and private companies, and associations.
Vice president
Dr. Paola Reggiani Gelmini is the Vice President of the Marco Biagi Foundation.
The Vice President represents the President in his or her absence or impediment and is granted powers for day-to-day management.
Director-General
Dr. Carlotta Serra is the Director-General of Marco Biagi Foundation.
Director-General, appointed by the Board of Directors at the proposal of the President, oversees the organization and operation of the Foundation’s offices and administrative services. He/she assists the President in the execution of the Board of Directors resolutions, carries out technical and administrative activities delegated by the President, and signs deeds and contracts approved by the Board of Directors.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of five members. Three are appointed by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, including the President, and two ex officio members: the Rector, and the Director of the Marco Biagi Department of Economics of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. In addition, one member is appointed by the Biagi family, and one by the Ministry of Education, Higher Education and Research.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the administration of the Foundation. It adopts general guidelines for the annual plan of activities and the multi-year plan based on the guidelines laid down by the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

Board of Auditors
The Board of Auditors is the internal auditing body of the Foundation. It consists of three effective members and two alternates. It is responsible for the functions laid by current legislation for the auditing of joint-stock companies.

Academic Advisory Board
Academic Advisory Board is an advisory body that supports and collaborates with the Board of Directors and the President in defining the annual programme of the Foundation’s activities and for any other matters for which the Board of Directors expressly requests an opinion.
