Assessing Workers’ Performance in a Changing Technological and Societal Environment: An Interdisciplinary and Multifaceted Perspective
Modena, 19-20 march 2018
We are pleased to welcome Italian and international guests to the annual conference in commemoration of prof. Marco Biagi, which since 2003 has accompanied the evolution of labour relations by gathering scholars from all over the world to discuss the most prominent and challenging topics by means of a comparative and interdisciplinary methodology.
The way work is organized and performed; the means to appraise its value; the guarantee of rights while assessing the fulfilment of the obligations on which the work performance is based; the integration of performance in complex and often dematerialized or virtual organizations, the interaction and interdependencies between individuals and groups within and outside organizations with a diverse workforce. All of these elements are part of the changing social environment, and each one calls for an effort to update the interpretative categories and the regulatory solutions, taking into account the web of manifold interests that converge on these issues, at times overlapping, at times conflicting.
Pursuant to a comprehensive presentation of the main topics, the conference’s sessions will develop in the form of theme-specific workshops. Active participation from the audience is strongly encouraged. For this purpose, the conference materials (papers and power point presentations) will be available in a restricted area of this web site. The link to enter the area will be provided upon registration at the conference.
A Holy Mass in memory of prof. Marco Biagi will be held on 19 of March at 8.30 at San Barnaba church (Via Carteria 108)
